The first ever Primary/Daredevil team party went off with a bang on Saturday March 3rd. Our title party sponsor Sram pulled out all the stops in hosting “Riding feels good”.
UKULA filled up early in the night, and was packed until the end. I guess our friends didn’t want to wait to get into the night. Fun was had by all, as there was a great mix of people from the riding community, friends of the team and hipsters that came to hear the UKULA resident DJ’s. If you attended, than you’d know that this was no sausage party.
Shane, who has proven to be our team super-fan, said, “Now that was a PARTY!! I finally made it home with all of my swag........I almost needed two cab's just to bring it all with me!!! You PRIMARY Boyz really know how...to throw a good party.......WArden(Andrew)....You are one helluva good dude!!! Fantastic tunes......Incredible prizes.....and Ohhhh.....the women.....It was like they kept coming in by the truck load!!!... Wholly fuck that was fun!!!!!! I'm in for the next one....and then the one after that!!!! Thank's for the party!!!! I'll be hurt'n tommorow!!!"
Creator of the film Battlegrounds, Andrew from Freeform Media also attended. His take on the party was, “Just got back from the Primary party and I had a blast! It was awesome hanging out with Shane, Brandon, Matt from Cycle Solutions and all the Primary boys. A big shout out to Drew and Ukula for putting on a great night of music, drinks and great prizes. Hey, it wasn't a sausage party. Lots of women came out, too. Good luck in '07 everyone!"
For me, the best part of the party are the photos, as they documented the good times, pretty girls, great prizes, and a killer party. And to think, Joey actually talked to some girls…. This was a special night.
All of our team partners worked hard to make Riding Feels Good a success. Props go out to:
Devinci for the great prizes and team bike.
Want beverages for keeping the party well lubricated (Want was flowing all night!) and the killer prizes from Rome and 686.
Wrex Racing for the custom jerseys for prizes.
Sweet Pete’s Bike Shop for the pint glasses, swag and to the employees for keeping the parting going from start to finish.
Andrea at Lulu Lemon for donating a sweet yoga starter kit for the ladies (although I’m pretty sure Shane went home with it, along with a heap of other prizes).
Andrew for donating copies of Endtrails video for the raffle.
Brandon at Industry Skatepark for the Shirts to raffle.
UKULA for the DJ’s, great staff and support for the team.
And a big thank you goes out to Sram as none of this would have been possible without your help.
