Team Primary is back at it again with the support of SRAM, Sweet Pete’s Bike Shop and, new for 2009, Trek Bicycles. Trek has really stepped up in the DH race scene, since launching the Session 88, its new World Cup DH Team and, now, its partnership with Primary.
Aside from now riding the most exciting DH bike available for 2009, there have been a few other changes at Primary this year. For the 2009 season, Primary-Trek will cosist of a 3 rider pro team, and a mechanic.
Returning to the team to build on a successful 2008 campaign is Sidney BC’s Dean Tennant. Dean’s work ethic on the bike is second to none and he’ll be one to watch in 2009. New for the team this year but no stranger to the DH scene is Bromont QC’s own Dominick Menard. Dom is a seasoned veteran of the sport who brings valued experience and leadership to the team. Primary has had its eye on Dom for a few years and is very excited to have a rider with his record the roster.
Also joining Primary this year is Pickering ON’s Rob Fraser. Rob made himself a star back home with a winning 2008 season, taking the Jr. O-Cup series and Tremblant CC, as well as qualifying 26th at the World Champs.
Supporting Primary riders by tuning each Session 88 to perfection, from Make Ready tuning, Jean Rouleau of Bromont QC returns to the team for 2009. Primary-Trek also looks forward to continuing its strong partnerships with Wrex Racing Gear, NSK and Obtainium, along with the addition of media sponsors Crux Magazine and dropmachine.com.
See you on the hill.
